My jumper print has been featured in a showjumping treasury!
I have been gone for the past few months, neglecting my artwork and missing it so so much. Between being literally away for Christmas holidays, horse shows, and just being plain busy with taxes, business paperwork, oh, and trying to set up a brand new little project (which I'm pretty excited about), I have not worked on anything that I can honestly say I'm truly happy with. I have started lots of new projects and ideas, made mock-ups and samples, but in the end it is just a bit depressing not seeing the results I expected, so I move on to the next thing. I guess I'm just in a little creative funk trying to find my way… perfect for me or I won't be happy.

hello again
We have been back for a couple of weeks now from our month vacation in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. It was very hard leaving the family, friends and nice warm weather... it was so much fun.
I've been slowly getting back on track, I'm loving on my doggies and working on tax stuff, I've cleaned the entire house, washed everything, etc. etc.
I'm excited about some small paintings that I have started working on, they will be posted very soon.
I didn't get to send out Christmas cards but made this illustration that was meant to be used for our cards.

alfajores
Baking away for a happy thanksgiving celebration with good friends. I'll be contributing my usual empanadas, baked cheesey potatoes and this year I'm adding alfajores. They're basically two cookies sandwiched with dulce de leche in the middle and toasted coconut on the border, yummylicious!
3 cups corn starch
2½ cups flour
4 tsp baking powder
4 tbsp butter
3 tbsp crisco
6 eggs
1 cup sugar
lemon zest
sweet coconut flakes -toasted in oven
dulce de leche
Beat eggs and sugar, add lemon zest. Mix dry ingredients, incorporate butter and crisco working until well mixed.
Combine flour and egg mixtures to form a workable dough, add flour if necessary. Roll out to about ¼" thickness. Cut circles with cookie cutter. Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden at 350 degrees in preheated oven.
Let the cookies cool a bit. Spread dulce de leche on one cookie, take another and press together to make a little sandwich, spread a little dulce de leche on the sides, roll it on the toasted coconut. Makes about 35 alfajores.
